Cyndi Philbrook identified a need in our community and co-founded the Toledo Community Foundation. She is currently serving as our President. Cyndi is excited about having a foundation to help our local Toledo students.​

She is the owner of Farmers Insurance in Toledo for last fourteen years as a business owner and Toledo resident she is very involved in our community. Both of her children were Toledo High School graduates. Cyndi is a firm believer in investing in our youth. She is a member of the Toledo Lions Club where she spends many hours volunteering. She also supports local charities such as Women United, Hope Alliance, local food banks and Toledo Schools.

She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and the Long Beach Peninsula

Bill Moore has lived in Toledo over sixty years and has a long history of community service. He was a member of the Toledo School Board for twenty four years, and is a commissioner for Lewis County Toledo Fire EMS District #2.

Bill's professional experience includes owner /partner of Centralia OK Tire for twenty one years and retired from the Washington State Department of Revenue as 

District Compliance Manager of the Tumwater Region and Out of State Division.

Bill is an avid WSU Cougar fan, enjoys golf, back country trail riding with his mule, and spending time with family and friends

​Jeff Philbrook has been a Toledo resident for 14 years. He’s married to his college sweetheart and they have two kids, Kristin and Corbin. Jeff has made it a joy in his life to work with youth in the area.

He has been involved in many organizations such as, Boy Scouts, Toledo Lions Club, Cheese Day Committee, Toledo CTE member and lots more! When Jeff is not volunteering at local events you can find him on a sunny day driving down the road in his 1967 Mustang Coupe.

Kaye Moore has lived in the Toledo area for 49 years. She has been an active volunteer for the Toledo School District, from working in classrooms and being on many Bond and Levy committee's. She has also volunteered on the Cheese Day committee for 7 years, serving as Secretary for the past 2 years.

"Being on the Board of the Toledo Community Foundation has been a rewarding way to continue the commitment of helping students and families in our community."

When not volunteering Kaye can be found working in her garden, spending time with friends and family, especially her granddaughter Lilly.

Christina Gorton is the co-owner of Bonanza BBQ & Catering in Toledo. She worked for USDA Farm Service Agency for 12 years in Pierce County, and Snohomish County as a County Executive Director. She was very involved with 4-H and FFA programs, WA State Simmental Association as a volunteer and board member.

She served one term as the Pacific Northwest Barbeque Association Regional Secretary. Chris is passionate about helping children and our community be a wonderful place to live.

Dan Gorton is the co-owner of Bonanza BBQ & Catering in Toledo. Dan went full time with the BBQ business in 2013 after retiring from over 40 years in the commercial tire business. He has always worked with 4-H and FFA programs as beef project leader and various board member positions. He has a strong commitment to making our community a great place to live and work.

Tessa Clark with a family that has lived in the community for generations, Tessa was born and raised in Toledo, graduating from Toledo High School in 2003. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Geology from Central Washington University, she moved to the Tri-Cities to begin her career in environmental science, supporting soil and groundwater cleanup and remediation of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. Ten years and two children later, Tessa and her husband completed their final move: back to Toledo. They want to raise their children in the small, caring community that they both grew up in. Since moving home, they have participated in multiple community activities and fundraisers, including coaching youth sports and volunteering on the high school bond committees.

As the daughter of two retired educators and married to the son of two retired educators, Tessa believes in the importance of a well-rounded education provided in a safe and supportive environment. She believes that children cannot thrive in school and beyond if they are burdened with the problems of adults. Since participating in the Down Home Shindig in 2019, she has been inspired to volunteer further and is honored to serve on the Toledo Community Foundation board. 

As a proud third-generation Toledo graduate, Vanessa Prigmore brings a deep-rooted commitment to our community and a passion for service. She graduated from Oregon State University (Go Beavs!) and came back to Lewis County to begin her career in Operations Management and to eventually raise a family.

Vanessa’s commitment to community includes volunteering for Morton’s Backpack Program, which provided extra food for students to take home. She served on the board for the East Lewis County Hospital Foundation, where she was Vice President and the foundations Merchandising Manager for the volunteer ran gift shop.

In recent years, Vanessa has been a part of Vision Toledo, helping with the much-loved Wine and Cheese Event during Cheese Days. She is married to John(ny) Prigmore of Winlock and together they have two boys, Bain and Jackson, both of whom are part of the Toledo School District. With two very active kids, she can mostly be found on the sidelines or stands, cheering on Riverhawks of all ages!
